Why Use Infrared Gas Brooder for Open Poultry House

As more than 20 years of experience on heating equipment for poultry, we can say that the infrared gas brooder is the most suitable heaters for open poultry house. Because the radiant heat delivers heating energy directly to the birds and floor and it offers significant advantages compared to forced air heat.

As we all know, the isolation of the open poultry house is not good, if we use poultry space heater, the heat will go outside and lose easily which will result in comsuming more gas energy, but the infrared gas brooder only heats the spot where the chicks stay which is more heat efficient and saves more gas.

There are many open poultry houses in Africa such as above the photo, they use the plastic cloth for wall, the isolation is very poor. This is the reason why many poultry farmers in African countries choose to use infrared gas brooder in their poultry house.

In fact, the small chickens are very sensitive to the radiation when they arrive in the farm. If it’s too hot, they go near the wall and when it’s too cold they gather together. When they are everywhere which means the perfect environment inside the room so they will eat and drink normally and grow quickly.
